Tredegar move up the world rankings to 5th after Albert Hall success
Tredegar’s runner-up finish at the recent National Championships of Great Britain at the Royal Albert Hall has meant that they now move back up to number 5 in the 4BR/Band Supplies World Rankings.
It also maintains the excellent record of being ranked in the top seven bands in the world since 2010, with an outside chance of ending the year as high as number 4, depending on the outcome of their appearance at the forthcoming Brass in Concert Championship that takes place at The Sage Gateshead on Sunday 19th November.
“It’s been a very solid year of contesting achievement so far,” MD, Ian Porthouse said. “However, we are determined that we will end it on a high on our return to Brass in Concert, where we’ve got a fine record over the past few years.”

He added: “Our rankings record shows just how good a band we have become in the last decade - rising from 21st to become one of the established elite level bands in the world. Now we want to push on from that - starting at The Sage.”
